The priest who hides

I hear the whisper of your lies,
Dark melody of summer flies
No boundaries for the divine
Catch the echo of the church’s chime

While the boy cries on the bench
Hopelessly dreaming for revenge
Glaring the cross on the alter
Could not say no to you Father

Powerlessly seeking some help
Vulnerable, fearing a skelp
Deserving it, he misbehaved
You stole his youth so he’ll be saved

And you hide behind your robe
As it happens around the globe
Bringing shame to your brothers
Who give their lives to help others

Wearing white to hide your soul
Raping this child that you control
And this Bible you kept closely
Surely did not make you Holy
